What is the Google Contacts API?

Google Contacts is a free tool to manage a list of contacts. The service is directly integrated with Gmail, but usable as a standalone service as well. The API lets developers retrieve a list of contacts and make updates with RESTful endpoints.

How to use the Google Contacts API?

// npm install @bearer/node
.auth('AUTH_ID') // Check the code example below on how to generate access tokens
.then(({ data }) => console.log(data))
.catch(e => console.log(e))
<script src=""></script>
<button class="btn btn-primary" onclick="myConnectButton()">
Connect to Google Contacts
const bearerClient = bearer('YOUR_BEARER_PUB_KEY')
function myConnectButton() {
.then(({ authId }) => {
// Use this authId like bearer.auth(authId).get(..
console.log('AUTH_ID for this user', authId)
